It seemed so simple: Rent a cute little space, bake to my heart’s content, make people happy. Well, all of that is doable, but I somewhat underestimated the complexity of going from Point A to Point B. But so far each obstacle has been overcome, and we’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
The fun part has been searching for and placing the many vintage items in the shop that evoke the simple, homey 1930’s look we want. When you come in for your pie, we hope you enjoy our ambiance. The other fun part has been deciding which pies to include on our revolving menu.
As we get closer to our Grand Opening, we’re still tweaking the menu, because we’re pie lovers ourselves. Toward that end, please feel free to comment here on your favorites. We’ll have time-honored standards every day, along with many other flavors throughout the week. (How does macadamia cream pie sound?) Fresh seasonal fruits mean we’ll be baking blackberry-nectarine pies this summer, and fresh mango pie as long as the Ataulfo mangoes are available. You get the idea…
As soon as the opening date is fixed, we’ll let you know here. We’ll be sure to offer opening specials, so plan to drop in!
